Accidental Suite
A Celebration of Dance and Human Connection!
Friday, April 1st, 2022 @ 7pm
Fotografiska New York 281 Park Ave South, New York, NY 10010
Fotografiska New York will present Barkin/Selissen Project’s Accidental Suite on April 1st, 2022 at 7pm! (Doors open at 6:30pm.)
In June of 2019, thousands of viewers across the globe experienced Accidental Suite as part of B/SP’s Titles Project, and voted for it to be expanded for live presentation.
This live celebration event includes a screening of the Titles Project short film series and a 30 minute live performance of Accidental Suite featuring 9 dancers and an original score by Zac Selissen.
Born from raw experimentation and wrangled through structured improvisation, Accidental Suite builds relational tension through increasing levels of contact. The piece evokes chance encounters, near misses, and the magnetic push and pull of relationships from start to finish. In these deeply alienating times, it taps into the most essential of human needs, relating to one another.
